The night visit to Medina Azahara is an opportunity to delight in the myth of the shining city and its legends, dodging the high temperatures of Córdoba, and discovering that the nights of Córdoba deserve a setting like Medina Azahara
The visit takes place mainly in the archaeological site, ruins of the ancient city, where the guide will explain each of the rooms and locations that we visit. This tour will be linked with information regarding the organization of that caliphate that for almost a century dominated almost the entire Iberian Peninsula.
The Medina Azahara site is located 7 km from the city of Córdoba. Upon arrival, we find the visitor reception center, museum where some of the most relevant pieces of Caliphate art are exhibited, but can only be visited during daytime.
The archaeological site and the visitor center are connected by a shuttle bus (cost €2.5) that leaves every 15 – 20 minutes. The use of this shuttle is compulsory as the site cannot be accessed by private car. On the other hand, the entrance to the site is free.
The visit lasts approximately 1 and a half hours. Always depending on the pace of the visitors.

From Córdoba you can get to the parking lot of the site either by your own transport (car, bike, etc.) or by taking the bus from Córdoba, which costs €10.
Once you have arrived at the car park you have to take a shuttle bus that will take you to the site and costs €2.5.
